The seller offers for sale a charming 1963 Morris Minor 1000 Traveller with a 1.0L petrol engine and manual transmission. Originally sold in Denmark as a van, this car underwent a
restoration between 2002 and 2004. The metalwork and paintwork were professionally done in Denmark, with new woodwork added to complete the classic Traveller look. Later, it was transported to London for leather seat installation and an engine upgrade. Since then, the car has been averaging only 2,000 km per year. Always garaged and hand-washed, it has been spared harsh weather conditions, with minimal use in the rain.
The car’s exterior and interior are in good condition. The paintwork was completed in its dismantled state using original factory colors, though not the car’s original green. The new leather interior, including carpets, is impeccably fitted, and all gauges and electronics function properly.
The Morris Minor series is a British automotive icon, widely appreciated for its unique design, practicality, and reliability. Introduced in 1948, the Traveller variant became popular for its versatile estate body, characterized by a wooden frame that added charm and durability. Designed by Alec Issigonis (later famed for the Mini), the Minor was revolutionary for its time, offering excellent handling and modern engineering. The Traveller’s enduring appeal stems from its combination of utility and classic styling, making it a favorite among collectors and enthusiasts worldwide.
