The seller offers for sale this 1963 BMW 1500, a classic sports sedan from BMW’s groundbreaking Neue Klasse series. First purchased in 1963, the car has remained in the same family since new. It features a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a manual transmission. The car underwent a comprehensive restoration in 2010 using parts sourced from Walloth & Nesch, a well-known supplier for classic BMWs. It retains its official Greek registration plates and is still driven occasionally.

The exterior remains in its original BMW Chamoni White paint, which has been maintained over the years. The restoration ensured that the car retained its factory look, with chrome details and trim kept in place. The body presents well, showing no significant defects or damage.

Inside, the cabin has preserved upholstery and functional gauges. The only noted missing component is the heater, which was unavailable as a replacement part during the restoration. Otherwise, all other controls and switches remain operational.

Mechanically, the car is in driving condition. The engine runs properly, and the car holds a valid MOT certificate, ensuring its roadworthiness. The vehicle has covered approximately 200,000 km over its lifetime.

The BMW 1500 was the first model in the Neue Klasse series, introduced in 1962. It marked a turning point for BMW, moving the brand towards a more performance-oriented market. The car featured a modern unibody design, independent suspension, and a lively four-cylinder engine. It was the foundation for BMW’s later success, influencing the design of models like the 5 Series. At its launch, the BMW 1500 was praised for its handling, practicality, and refined styling, setting the standard for future BMW sedans.

Noted imperfections include minor wear consistent with its age, particularly inside the cabin. The heater is missing, which may be a consideration for colder climates. No significant mechanical or structural issues have been reported.
